As you have probably figured out, we're pretty big readers here at Zuri, and it is an endless source of pride and delight to know that some of our favorite authors don our frocks!
This week, we're celebrating a few of these literary ladies (including Monique Truong, above!) by highlighting their work and turning their words into action by auctioning signed novels and donating the proceeds to an organization of their choice. Now, as ever, let's celebrate women's voices and support each other!
WHAT WE (CAN'T WAIT TO) READ // Everything Inside by Edwidge Danticat
Edwidge Danticat graciously donated a signed copy of her newest work, Everything Inside, a collection of short stories about immigrants, for our auction! All proceeds will go to FotoKonbit, an organization created to engage, educate and support Haitians in the telling of their own stories through photography.
We can't wait to read this collection, and hope that you'll hop over to the auction and nab yourself a copy!
