A TASTE OF SWAHILI CUISINE!

Coastal Swahili cuisine is a sight and experience to behold! The product of local tastes and influences from seafaring traders from Asia and the Middle East from as early as the 8th century CE, the food is deliciously rooted in history. Fresh calamari, fish and octopus are caught right here off the coast (typically served with rice and a curried coconut sauce)! Whether it's a cucumber and tomato salad with a dash of bitter lemon (kachumbari), a mango with chili, grilled snapper with pepper and lime, or a spicy biryani and fish samosas, the cuisine is truly something that is the product of travel, and worth traveling for!
