The fabric of Spirograph is so soft - similar brushed cotton feel to the fabric of Spin Doctor and Calypso. I initially passed on this print because I shied away from light backgrounds - more suited to bedding than clothes in my mind. However, I revisited the print on a recent trip to the Fillmore boutique. I tried on a different cut of the dress where the patterns had a more flattering arrangement - for example the dark blue shape around the neckline giving the effect of a necklace.
This will get a lot of wear especially now that the weather is warming up. In the meantime I tend to wear it layered under a blazer for work. I am 5’3 and wear an XL or 14/16 in US sizing. In Zuri dresses I fit a Standard Large best.

I was on the fence about Spirograph, and let her hang in my closet for a few days, periodically trying her on. It wasn't until I dressed her up with some accessories that I fell in love. I am trying to find my personal style, and that's why I hemmed and hawed over it, but I think she will be great for the days when I need to dress a little more conservative. Although there's nothing conservative about her! ;)
