My brother lives on the LES in NYC. He took his visiting German in-laws to the Lower WEST Side, and to “my sister’s favorite place” - Zuri on Bleecker . While they shopped, he texted, “Need anything?” He sent a few suggestions - some of which I already had - via text, then resorted to a phone call, where we discussed the finer points of celosia vs. tropicalia. He has good taste (and is a veteran of at least one solo F&F Sale), but when he offered to get both, I suggested he look closely and see which one wouldn’t replicate arabesque’s color way - and so, he selected tropicalia (we both love reds). His SIL bought tropicalia too.
I’m crowning him Brother of the Year.
